Yesterday Mike and I received a phone call from our publisher tells us that the book has been cancelled. Unfortunately, this is just not the right time for this book.

Mike and I would like to thank all those who submitted suggestions and recipes for the book, we appreciate your support.

Our recipe ideas

While talking about this book, we came up with a few ideas for recipes that we’d like to see. This is just our first list. We’d love to hear your ideas as well. If you know of something that would make a great recipe, but don’t want to write it yourself, please post it in the comments.

Some of our ideas:

• Searching large amounts of data
• loading data into a paginated table view
• Asynchronous loading of image data
• Caching of images and HTTP requests
• Talking with Web Services
• Getting GPS coordinates or using the Compass
• Communicating with a Bluetooth accessory
• Creating custom controls
• Storing/retrieving preferences
• Using CoreData
